作业(所有的文学作品 都是抗议)

我同意这么一句话,“所有的文学作品 都是抗议。你找不出一部作品不是抗议。”也就是说所有的文学作品都是通过描写一些社会发生的事情来批判当时的社会来表达作者对当时社会的不满。在我们学过雨果的长篇小说《悲惨世界》与狄更斯的长篇小说《双诚记》都阐明了这一观点。
在雨果的长篇小说《悲惨世界》中,作者通过描写低层社会的劳动人民的悲惨生活来反映了作者对当时社会的不满。冉阿让为了季节的孩子而偷面包被捕入狱。尽管冉阿让人性本善。可是为了生活却不得不做出偷窃的行为。这表现了当时社会的黑暗,当时社会压迫下的人民生活穷困潦倒。更反映了作者对社会不满的态度。芳汀为了生计日夜颠倒地在工厂里工作以致要将女儿寄养于德纳第夫妇家。她的这一表现导致了德纳第夫妇贪得无厌的敲诈与勒索,以致她最后走上了妓女的不归路。这一例子说明了当时实惠劳动人民的穷困潦倒以及人们的冷血无情。芳汀是一个穷苦的单身母亲,可是德纳第夫妇却对她的生活状态见死不救,甚至还落井下石。这一例子反映了作者对当时社会的不满。
在狄更斯的长篇小说《双诚记》都阐明了这一观点。侯爵两兄弟为了一少妇而设计杀害少妇的丈夫以及家人,甚至将少妇逼疯。他们将马奈医生放进监狱。这一例子说明了当时社会贵族无法无天的行为,他们利用权力来掩盖邪恶的事实。同时反映了作者对当时巴黎社会的不满。
通过以上两部作品的论证,我们可以看到所有的文学作品都通过描写一些事实来批判和反映作者对当时社会的不满。

Task 4 essay

It has been said that “All that is literature seeks to communicate power…”This means that literature is the language an author uses to persuade the idea to his readers. This saying is true when one analyzes The little Prince by Antoine De Saint-Exupery and The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. In The Little Prince, Antoine De Saint-Exupery uses personification and in The Alchemist, Paulo Coelho makes use of foreshadowing to show that in literature authors use the force of the written world to convey ideas.
In The Little Prince, Antoine De Saint- Exupery uses personification to show that literature is the language an author uses to persuade the idea to his readers. Personification is when human traits are given to non-human objects. In this work, the author explores the themes of communicate power. Antoine De Saint- Exupery specifically uses personification explore these same themes when he states “Here is my secret. It’s quite simple: one sees clearly only with the heart. Anything essential is invisible to the eyes.” said the fox .“But you mustn’t forget it. You become responsible for what you’ve tamed. You’re responsible for your rose…” This quotation coveys the friendship between the little prince and the fox. It teaches a moral to the readers is important things in life can’t be seen with the eyes but with the heart. Relationship teaches responsibility. We find another example of this when Antoine De Saint-Exupery states “After dark you will put me under glass….Where I come from…”Although the rose appears only in a couple of chapters, she is crucial to the novel as the whole because her melodramatic, proud nature is what causes the prince to leave his planet and begin his exploration. It conveys the lesson love to the readers. In both instances we see that in literature authors use the force of the written word to convey ideas.
In The Alchemist, Paulo Coelho uses foreshadowing to show that literature is the language an author uses to persuade the idea to his readers. Foreshadowing is that some clues in a poem, play, short story, or novel that helps the reader guess what will happen later in the text. Foreshadowing serves to build suspense or to drop clues as to what will come later in the story . In this work, the author also explores the themes of communicate power. Paulo Coelho specifically uses foreshadowing explore these same themes when he states “Take to the fields, and someday you’ll learn that our countryside is the best, and our women that most beautiful.” This quotation tells the readers some important message when the readers read it. We know Santiago’s father’s prediction that someday Santiago will discover that his own land is better than any he may travel to prepare us for Santiago ultimately finding his treasure in Spain. We find another example of this when Paulo Coelho states“This is for the boy. If he ever needs it.” The alchemist gives a second piece of gold to the monk to hold for Santiago. It foreshadows that the boy will return to the monastery to finance his way back to Spain. We don’t know what happened to Santiago on his journey before we read this quotation, but this question has the power to convey the author’s idea to his readers. We can predict Santiago lost his money and his return to the place where the monk lives and asked for help. In both instances we see that literature is the language an author uses to persuade the idea to his readers.
One sees then that personification and foreshadowing can be used effectively to show that literature is the language an author uses to persuade the idea to his readers. This is certainly truth when we analyze The Little Prince by Antoine De Saint-Exupery and The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. Authors of good books have of way of reminding us of things that we often forget. This includes universal truths like “All that is literature seeks to communicate powers…..”

 

High school seniors should or should not be allowed to go away for the weekend without a chaperon

High school seniors should or should not be allowed to go away for the weekend without a chaperon. In my opinion, I support high school senior should be allowed to go away for the weekend without a chaperon. Is it a best opportunity for high school seniors to meet friends .Also, it teaches high school senior how to take their responsibilities. The important lesson is teaching the parents trust their children.
Many parents worry about their children’s safety when they go away for weekends without a chaperon. That’s the reason why they don’t allow their children go away for weekends. For example, they put some curfew on their children to limit their time. They check where their children go and with who. Sometimes they allowed their children go away for weekends with a chaperon. Such as, they would come with their children or go to pick up their children. Some high school seniors want to be allowed to go away for weekend without a chaperon. They don’t want to go away for weekends with a chaperon. They have their personal domain and they don’t want their parents know about it. Everybody has their own secret and they don’t want to tell anybody even their parents. For example, some children want to go to a party with their girlfriend or boyfriend and they don’t want their parents know. If they go away for weekends with a chaperon, they don’t have their personal domain. High school senior don’t like be treat with as a baby. They have their opinion to do something. It is very important for parents to communicate with their children and give opportunity to them to go away for weekend without a chaperon.
All parents should be given a fair opportunity their children to go away for the weekend without a chaperon. High school seniors are adults and they have the right to go away for the weekend without a chaperon. It is the best way to meet new friends when they go out for weekends. Some high school seniors don’t have many friends because they spend most of their time on study at school. They don’t have an opportunity to meet new friends. If they don’t be allowed to go away for the weekend, they would lose a great opportunity to meet new friends. For example, some high schools have a senior prom and some parties to celebrate graduation. I think these parties are fantastic and we have to go. However, some parents don’t allow going away for weekends because they worry their children’s safety. I think this is not a big deal, high school seniors would know how to take care of themselves. We can’t miss such a great opportunity to meet new friend and lean how to communicate with people. Friends are part of our life, sometimes with need to go out with friends on weekends. We should be allowed to go away for weekends without a chaperon. Our parents should learn how to stay with their children and trust them. Sometimes parents should communicate with their children and understand what they think.
In the other hand, some parents don’t allow their children who are high school seniors go away for weekends without a chaperon. They give a curfew on their children. They don’t let their children just go away. They have always insisted on knowing where their children are if they go out with friends, with whom, and, if visiting a friend’s houses; confirm that a parent will be home. And they try to find out what they’re doing, therefore how long they needs to be out. And they should call parents or locations change. I think all the parents in the world are worry about their children’s safety. However, they should be allowed their high school seniors to go away for the weekend without a chaperon. The reasons that a high school senior should be allowed to go away for the weekend without a chaperon are that he /she is an adults, he’s/she’s responsible in telling parents where he/she is. The parents should trust what they children do and don’t treat them like a little child. I think a high school senior should have responsible on what they do. The parents didn’t need to too much worry about their children. They children should know what should do or not. The only thing that the parents do is allowed their high school seniors children to go away for weekends without a chaperon.
In conclusion, one of the most important of high school seniors should be allowed to go away for weekends without a chaperon can teach parents trust their children. High school seniors have the can take their responsibilities on what they do. They can go away for weekends without a chaperon because they have their communication circle and they have their personal domain. Although some parents worry about their children’s safety, but they should get an opportunity to their children to go away for weakens without a chaperon.

 

冲突常常展现人的丑恶与善良

我同意这么一种说法:“冲突常常展现人的丑恶与善良。”也就是说在冲突中常常展现了人的丑恶与善良。在文学作品中,很多作品都描述了一些冲突,从而通过这些冲突反映了人的善与恶。在雨果的长篇小说《悲惨世界》与巴尔扎克的长篇小说<<高老头>>都阐明了这一观点。
在雨果的长篇小说〈〈悲惨世界〉〉中,芳汀将她的孩子珂赛特寄养与德纳第夫妇家,从而受到了德纳第夫妇不断的敲诈与勒索。这表现了人丑恶的一面。他们利用珂赛特一次又一次的向芳汀敲诈更多的钱财。德纳第夫妇在敲诈芳汀的时候毫无掩饰的展现了他们贪得无厌的丑恶面孔。同时,芳汀为了她的女儿珂赛特卖掉了一头美丽的秀发和两颗洁白的门牙,最后她甚至被迫沦为妓女。这一例子表现了人善良的一面更展现了芳汀对女儿珂赛特伟大无私的母爱。
在巴尔扎克的长篇小说<<高老头>>中,高老头的两个女儿一次又一次的从高老头手中榨取钱财来满足她们两个人的贪婪欲望。她们到最后甚至都不愿意去见临死的高老头一面。她们甚至流连与贵族的舞会都不宁愿去见希望见她们最后一眼的高老头。孝顺长辈是作为子女应有的责任,可是高老头的两个女儿却残酷的对待爱她们甚至胜过自己生命的父亲。这一例子表现了人丑恶的一面。尽管高老头明白他的两个女而为了他的钱才对他好,但是他仍然无私地对他的两个女儿付出。这一例子说明了人善良的一面。更表现了高老头伟大的父爱。
通过以上两部作品的论证,我们都清楚地看到了冲突中怎么表现了人的丑恶与善良。

只要好一点

相信每个人都曾经对自己说过:“只要好一点”这句话。人往往都是向前看,要求改变目前的生活素质是一件好事。可是,他们往往忽略了身边重要的人与物。例如,今天得到了一间几百尺单位的房子,过一段时间就会想要大一点的房子。他们往往会对自己说:“只要再大一点点就好了。”可是,再大一点点的房子真的满足他们的欲望了吗?不,他们只会再一次的对自己说只要好一点。有的人在赌博抬上赢了钱,他们会对自己说:“只要再赢一点就好了。”结果,他们输出去的钱比原来赢的钱多出几倍。朋友,睁开你的眼睛吧,好好珍惜现在拥有的,不要再对未来抱着不实际的愿望。如果你真的希望只要好一点点,那么你就明确自己的目标,努力向这你的目标出发吧。我相信每天付出一点点的努力,你也会进步一点点的。坚持不懈的一直努力,你就不只是好一点点了。

马奈特医生一开始想将候爵兄弟的恶行告上法庭,但是后来他的女儿与候爵的向为了他的女儿而反悔对他的女婿提出控告。如果他对他的女婿提出侄儿想爱,他为了不向女儿伤心而反悔,他不再控告女婿。他把他女儿和女婿看得比自己的生命还重要,所以他反悔不对他的女婿提出控告。
